Counts of occurrence per depth in 三重県北部・滋賀県

Counts of occurrence per depth in 三重県北部・滋賀県(Northern Mie Pref. and Shiga Pref.)is shown as below graph,

Though there were some out of order, the counts of shallower depths become more.  M7.9 Showa Tonankai earthquake in 1944 outside of this area affected  as some rapid increases.

  • 1km(red)…The count is the 2nd. There had been a steady increase until 1943, and there was a rapid increases between 1944-1945 induced by M7.9 Showa Tonankai earthquake in 1944 outside of this area (count as 134-180).  The largest one of 1km is M5.4 in 1950 (count as 247).
  • 10km(yellow)…The count is the 1st. 10km curve was following behind 1km curve. The count was accelerated around M5.5 of 10km in 1998 (count as 181). 10km curve overtook 1km curve (count as 306). The largest one of 10km is M5.5 in 1998 (count as 181).
  • 20km(orange)…The count is the 3rd. 20km curve has been following behind 10km curve. The 2nd longest silent term was between 1938-1944 (count as 9-10). There was a rapid increase caused by M7.9 Showa Tonankai earthquake in 1944. After that, the count has been increasing steadily. The largest one of 20km is M5.4 in 2007 (count as 138).
  • 30km(yellow green)⋯The count is the 6th. 30km curve was following behind 40km curve. But, it coudn't be achieved. The count stopped in 2000 (count as 19). So, 30km curve was overtaken by 50km curve. The largest one of 30km is M5.5 in 1939 (count as 5).
  • 40km(green)…The count is the 4th.40km curve was following behind 10km curve also. But, the frequency was less than 20km's one. So, 40km curve was overtaken by 20km curve in 1944 (count as 10). The largest one of 40km is M5.6 in 1925 (count as 3).
  • 50km(green)…The count is the 5th.50km curve was following behind 30km curve , and overtook it. The largest one of 50km is M4.9 in 1962 (count as 6).
  • 420km⋯The greatest one of all depths is M6.7 in 1925.
  • others⋯omitted.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 青森県・陸奥湾・津軽海峡

Counts of occurrence per depth in 青森県東方沖 (Eastern offshore of Aomori Pref.) is shown as below graph,

1km/10km account for two-thirds of the total. On the other hand, 70km and deeper accounts for 20% of the total. 90km/80km are the center of the deep area, and their epicenters are concentrated on both the east side and Eastern offshore of Aomori Pre except Simokita Peninsula.

  • 1km(red)…The count is the 1st. There were rapid increases between 1919-1984. The rapid increase in 1929-1930 was the greatest one (count as 41-65). Then, the silent terms became longer. The longest silent term of 1km was between 1993-2013. After that, the terms became shorter again. The largest one of 1km is M5.9 in 1955 (count as 307).
  • 10km(yellow)…The count is the 2nd. There were 2 major rapid increases of 10km. The previous one was between 1978-1980 (count as 31-51). M5.8s (count as 31&32) in 1978 were the triggers of them. These M5.8s are the largest one of 1km. The following one was between 1995-1996 (count as 72-91). The steep slope of 10km curve is still continuing.
  • 90km(brown)…The count is the 3rd. The epicenters are concentrated on both the east side and Eastern offshore of Aomori Pre except Simokita Peninsula. The 1st longest silent term is between 1919-1938. The 3rd-5th ones are continuing between 1940-1958 (count as 3-6).  The 2nd one is between 1972-1980 (count as 21-22). Just after it, M5.7 occurred in 1980 (count as 23). The M5.7 is the largest one of 90km. The silent terms became shorter gradually.
  • 80km(navy)…The count is the 4th. As same as 90km, the epicenters are concentrated on both the east side and Eastern offshore of Aomori Pre except Simokita Peninsula. 80km curve was intertwined with 90km curve. The longest silent term is between 1919-1937 (count as 1-2).  The largest one of 80km is M4.9 in 1960 (count as 12).
  • 20km(orange)…The count is the 5th. 20km curve was following behind 10km curve. After the longest silent term of 20km between 1953-1968 (count as 5-6), 20km curve was overtaken by 80km/90km curves. The largest one of 20km is M5.1 in 1953 (count as 5).
  • 110km(gray)…The count is the 6th. During the 5th silent longest term of 110km between 1954-1964 (count as 10-11), 90km/80km curves overtook 110km curve. As same as 90km/80km, the epicenters are concentrated on both the east side and Eastern offshore of Aomori Pre except Simokita Peninsula. The largest one of 110km is M5.3 in 1921 (count as 2).
  • 70km(purple)…The count is the 7th. 70km curve was intertwined with 90km/80km curves. But, after M6.6 of 70km in 1960(count as 14), the silent terms became longer gradually. During the 3rd longest silent term of 70km between 1971-1980 (count as 22-23), 70km started to be late from 90km/80km curves. The M6.6 of 70km in 1960 is the greatest one of all depths.
  • 100km(gray)…The count is the 8th. 100km curve is following behind 90km curve. The largest one of 100km is M5.5 in 1960 (count as 7).

Counts of occurrence per depth in 青森県東方沖

Counts of occurrence per depth in 青森県東方沖 (Eastern offshore of Aomori Pref.) is shown as below graph,

1km curve has stopped with the 1st longest silent term in this mohth. During the long silent term, 60km curve overtook 1km curve. Not only 60km curve, but also 60km / 70km / 50km / 30km / 40km /20km /10km curves is following behind 1km curve since the septet junction among 10km-70km curves just after M7.9 of 1km in 1968. The M7.9 is the greatest one of all depths. The M7.9 is worried if it may become  the trigger of the huge called as "Off the Coast of Hokkaido and Sanriku Subsequent Earthquake Advisory".

By using a chart that includes such multi-junctions, it may be possible to predict the occurrence count of main aftershocks. This can be achieved by identifying the number of junctions where the cumulative frequency curves of different depths intersect during a rapid increase.

  • 1km(red)⋯ The count is the 2nd. There was the 4th longest silent term of 1km between 1927-1929 (count as 1213). There were both the 7th/9th longest silent term between 1931- 1933 (count as 18-19)/ 1934-1936 (count as 22-23). After these long silent terms, each count increased with a steep slope. There was a rapid increase of 1km caused by M7.9 of 1km (count as 247) in 1968. The M7.9 is the greatest one of all depths.  The silent terms became longer and longer. There was the longest silent term between 1998-2025 (count as 333-334  this month). Because of the longest one, 1km was overtaken by 60km curve.
  • 60km (blue)⋯The count is the 1st. The count of 60km increased steadily until 1967. M7.5 of 10km occurred as the start point of septet junction among 10km-70km curves. The rapid increase of 60km started at count 64 before the M7.5 six hours ago. After the rapid increase, the count of 60km has been increasing steadily again, and overtook 1km curve during the longest silent term of 1km. The largest one of 60km is M7.1 in 1945 (count as 12).
  • 70km(purple)⋯The count is the 3rd. 70km/60km curves were overtaking and being overtaken before 1968. After the rapid increases by the M7.5 of 10km, 70km curve was following behind 60km curve. The largest one of 70km is M6.6 of 1945 (count as 50).
  • 50km (light blue)⋯The count is the 4th. There were the 1st/2nd longest silent terms between 1930-1934  (count as 9-10)/1936-1939 (count as 12-13). After each long silent term, the count increased with a steep slope. Furthermore, there was also the 3rd longest silent term between 1944-1946 (count as 22-23).  50km curve was caught up with by 70km curve  in 1950s, and was overtaken. After the rapid increase of 50km on the septet junction among 10km-70km curves in 1968, 50km/70km curves overtook and were overtaken until  around 1990. But, after that, 50km curve was overtaken by 70km curve again even though there was M7.0 of 50km in 1971 (count as 84). The largest one of 50km is M7.5 in 2025 (count as 289 updated 6 days ago). The count has been increased rapidly by the aftershocks of the M7.5 from count 287 to 293 (until 2025/12/10).
  • 30km (yellow green)⋯The count is the 5th. 30km curve is following behind 1km curve. There were 3 major longest silent terms of the 2nd/4th/3rd before the M7.5 of 10km on the septet junction among 10km-70km curves in 1968.The 2nd one was between 1926-1930 (count as 3-4). The 4th one was between 1932-1936 (count as 7-8). The 3rd was between 1936-1940 (count as 8-9). After that, the count of 30km increased with a steep slope steadily until 1968. In 1968, the M7.9 of 10km occurred, and it induced the rapid increase of 30km (count as 49-70). After that, the count of 30km is increasing similarly to the 50km curve. The largest one of 30km is M6.8 in 1922(count as 2).
  • 40km (green)⋯The count is the 6th. 40km curve is following behind 10km curve before the M7.5 of 10km on the septet junction among 10km-70km curves in 1968. M6.8 of 30km occurred in 1922.  The 2nd longest silent term was between 1923-1927 (count as 2-3). At the start point of the silent term, M6.2 of 40km occurred in 1923. The 2nd one of 40km was covered with the 2nd one of 30km. The 1st one of 40km was between 1934-1938 (count as 12-13).   After the sequential earthquakes of M6.3/M6.2 of 40km in 1944/1945 (count as 21-22), there was a rapid increase in 1945 until M6.6 of 40km (count as 26) . About 80 days later, there was the next rapid increase in 1945 (count as 27-31). Then, silent terms became longer until 1968. The main rapid increase (count as 64-78) occurred at the septet junction among 10km-70km curves just after M7.9 of 1km. After that, 40km curve is increasing behind 50km curve. The largest one of 40km is the M6.6 in 1945.
  • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 7th. After the sequential longest silent terms of the 2nd/3rd/4th/6th between 1920-1939 (count as 3-7), there was a rapid increase of 20km in 1943 (count as 12-15). Then, the silent terms became long again. The main rapid  increase count as 44-70) occurred at the septet junction among 10km-70km curves just after M7.9 of 1km in 1968. After that, 20km curve increases behind 30km curve. The 1st longest silent tem was between 1977-1994 (count as 99-100). The largest one of 20km is M7.1 in 1943 (count as 12).
  • 10km(yellow)⋯The count is the 8th. 10km curve is following behind 1km curve. Until  the septet junction among 10km-70km curves just after M7.9 of 1km in 1968, 10km curve was following almost keeping the count rank as the 2nd or 3rd. After that, the silent terms became long. The 1st/2nd one was between 1978-1997 (count as 101-102)/2019-2025 (count as 118-not yet). The 2nd longest one of 10km is almost covered by the 1st one of 1km between 1998-2025. The largest one of 10km is M7.5 in 1968 (count as 72).

Counts of occurrence per depth in 茨城県沖

Counts of occurrence per depth in 茨城県沖 (Offshore Ibaraki Pref.) is shown as below graph,

The count of 50km is the 1st. 10km/40km/30km curves are following. The count of 1km is the 7th. The longest silent terms of 1km/10km were broken by the M9.0 The great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. They should be one of the signs of the M9.0 as same as ones in the Pacific coastal area of Eastern Japan. The aftershocks didn't only generate the triple junction  among 1km/30km/60km, but also M7.6 of 40km as the greatest one of all depths.

    • 1km(red)⋯ The count is the 7th. There was a rapid increase of the count of 1km as 21-43, as the aftershocks of M7.1, counted 28 of 40km in 1923. M7.2 became the trigger of M7.2 counted as 98 of 1km in 1924. After that, the silent terms of 1km became slightly longer. But, M7.0 of 1km made the count accelerate again since the count of 267 in 1938. The silent terms of 1km became longer dramatically since the 50km curve overtook the 1km curve, counting 485 in 1976. The longest silent term of 1km is between 1993-2011 (as counted 488-489). The end point of the longest silent term was brought about by the aftershocks of the M9.0 Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011. The similar phenomenon of the long silent term was widely observed just before the M9.0 in the Pacific coastal area of Eastern Japan. It means these long silent terms should be one of the signs of the M9.0. The largest one of 1km is M7.2 in 1924.
    • 10km(yellow)⋯The count is the 2nd. 10km curve was following behind 1km curve with a similar pattern to the 1km one before the M9.0 in 2011. The silent terms of 10km became longer since the 60km curve overtook the 10km curve, around counting 165 in 1962. The longest silent term of 10km between 1996-2011 (as counted 183-184). After the M9.0, 10km curve increased far more than 1km curve. The largest one of 10km is M6.9, counted 94 of 10km in 1938.
    • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 5th. 20km curve was also following behind 1km curve  with a similar pattern to the 1km one before the M9.0 in 2011. After the M9.0, 20km curve overtook 1km curve, counted 611 of 20km in 2015. The largest one of 20km is M6.7, counted 266 in 2011.
    • 30km(yellow green)⋯The count is the 4th. 30km curve is following 40km curve with relatively steady silent terms. 30km curve increased in 2011, and overtook 1km curve as counted 498 in 2011. There was a triple junction among 1km/30km/60km. The  largest one of 30km is M7.0, counted 326 in 1982.
    • 40km(green)⋯The count is the 3rd.Once, 40km was overtaken by 1km curve after the M7.1 of 40km, counted 28 in 1923. But, 40km curve overtook 1km with steadily increase before and after 50km curve overtaking around 1976. Then, 40km curve is following behind 50km curve. M7.6 of 40km increased rapidly. Even though the M7.6 is the greatest one of all depths, the increase was less than the one of 50km. M7.6 counted 801 of 40km.
    • 50km(light blue)⋯The count is the 1st. 50km was following behind 1km curve. After the M6.9 of 10km in 1938, the steady increase made 50km curve overtake 1km curve around 1976. 50km curve didn't only overtake 40km curve, but also 1km curve in 2011 again. The  largest one of 50km is M7.0, counted 995 in 2008.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 三重県南東沖

Counts of occurrence per depth in 三重県南東沖(Southeast offshore of Mie Pref. )   is shown as below graph,

1km curve was increased by M7.9 of 40km in 1944, and is keeping the 1st count of all depths. 40km is following behind 1km curve separated by the M7.9 aftershocks, and closing near by the aftershocks of M7.4 of 40km in 2004. The M7.9 occurred on the quartet junction among 10km-40km. The another remarkable future of this area is  the great deal of deep-focus earthquakes deeper than 300km. Especially, 360km curve was upper than 50km curve between 1931-2003. From the point of view of not only the quantity, but also the magnitude,  390km includes the great ones of M7.0/M6.6.

    • 1km(red)⋯ The count is the 1st. There was a rapid increase of 1km count as 26-76 in 1944-1945 as the aftershocks of M7.9 of 40km in 1944. After that, the silent terms of 1km became longer. The longest silent term of 1km is between 1989-2018 (as count 152-153). The largest one of 1km is M6.2 in 1922 count as 2.
    • 40km(green)⋯ The count is the 2nd. M7.9 of 40km occurred on the quartet junction among 10km-40km in 1944. The M7.9 is the greatest one of all depths. After that, the silent terms became longer. The 1st/2nd longest silent term of 40km is between 1968-1976 (as count 28-29)/between 1988-1995 (as count 38-39). After that, the silent terms became shorter again. There was a rapid increase of 40km as the aftershocks of both M7.1 (count as 58) and M7.4 (count as 67), and 40km curve became closer to 1km curve so as to fit with.
    • 30km(yellow green)⋯The count is the 3rd. 30km curve is following behind 40km curve. But, the rapid increases were smaller than 40km's ones. Furthermore, the silent terms of 30km also were longer than ones of 40km on average. Top 3 of the longest silent terms are as following,  the 3rd is between 1919-1931 (count as 0-1)/the 1st is between 1931-1944 (count as 1-2) / the 2nd is between 1991-2003 (count as 26-27). The largest one of 30km is M6.5 in 2016 count as 44.
    • 10km(yellow)⋯The count is the 4th. There was the longest silent term of 10km between 1919-1944 (count as 0-1). After the rapid increase of 10km count as 1-13 in 1944, 10km had caught up with 40km curve. After that,  there were the 3rd between 1952-1966 (count as 23-24). was following behind 40km curve. Since 1978, there were the 4th/5th/2nd longest silent terms. of 10km. The 4th was between 1978-1990 (count as 27-28). The 5th was between 1991-2000 (count as 29-30). The 2nd was between 2003-2020 (count as 33-34).  The largest one of 10km is M5.9 in 1966 count as 24.
    • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 5th. After the rapid increase of 20km count as 4-12 in 1944-1945, 20km curve was overlapped with 10km curve. Because of less occurrence /longer silent terms of 20km, 20km count was delayed from 10km's one. The largest one of 20km is M6.4 in 1948 count as 18.
    • 50km(light blue)⋯The count is the 6th. 50km curve is following behind 40km curve. The largest one is M6.5 of 50km count as 6 in 1944.
    • 360km(gray)⋯The count is the 7th. 360km curve was upper than 50km curve between 1931-2003. 50km could overtake 360km adding the aftershocks of the M7.4 of 40km  The largest one is M6.4 of 360km count as 24 in 2022.
    • 390km(gray)⋯The count of 390km is only 6. But, both M7.0 in 1984/M6.6 in 2019 are included. The largest one is the M7.0 of 360km count as 3 in 1984.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 三重県

Counts of occurrence per depth in 三重県 (Mie Pref.)  is shown as below graph,

During the 2nd/1st longest silent term of 1km since 1989, 1km curve was overtaken by 10km curve. The count of 1km-40km had each rapid increase induced by the Tonankai Earthquake of 40km in 1944. Some depth count had the accelerated increase after the long silent terms. As a feature of this area, some of the greatest one of this area exists in deeper than 300km of the deep-focus earthquake. The great one is M6.7 of 420km in 1925.

    • 1km(red)⋯ The count is the 2nd. There was the longest silent term between 1927-1929(count as 18-19) at that time. Then, the slope of 1km curve became steeper. In 1944-1945, there was a rapid count increase between 61-171. They were caused by M7.9 The 1944 Tonankai Earthquake of 40km in Off the coast of the Southeast Sea (outside of this area). After that, the silnet terms became longer. The longest silent term is between 1989-2004 (count as 356-357). Next, there was the 2nd silent term between 2004-2015.  The silent terms are becoming shorter again. The largest one of 1km is M5.9 in 1946(count as 234).
    • 10km(yellow)⋯The count is the 1st. 10km curve was following behind 1km curve. Similar to the 1km curve,  there were continuous rapid count increases both in 1944/ in 1945 between 30-41/42-50. There was the longest silent term between 1991-1995 (count as 152-153). The start was 2 years later of the one of 1km, and was covered with 1km's longest silent term. The slope of 1km curve became steeper after the longest silent term the same as 1km curve. During the long silent terms including the 1st/2nd of 1km, 10km curve overtook 1km curve. After the overtaking count as 358, the silent terms became a little bit longer. The largest one of 10km is M5.5 in 1998.
    • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 3rd. After the longest silent term between 1919-1924, 20km curve was following behind 10km curve. Similar to the 1km/10km curves,  there was a rapid count increase in 1944  between 16-19. The 2nd longest silent term was between 1960-1964 (count as 49-50). After that, the count of 20km was accelerated. Similar to it, 20km count was accelerated after the long silent term between 1986-1989 (count as 79-80).   The largest one of 20km is M5.6 in 1968.
    • 30km(yellow green)⋯The count is the 5th as same as 50km. 30km curve was following behind 20km as the same as 40km curve. Since 1970, there were the 2nd/the 1st longest silent terms between 1970-1981 (count as 38-39)/1991-2003(count as 46-47). So, 30km curve was delayed from 40km curve, and caught up with by 50km curve.  The largest one of 30km is M5.6 in 1944.
    • 40km(green)⋯The count is the 4th. 40km curve was following behind 20km/10km curves. M6.2 of 40km and the aftershocks were induced by the M7.9 The 1944 Tonankai Earthquake of 40km in 1944. The M6.2 is the largest one of 40km. After that, 40km count increased steadily. M6.0 of 40km also occurred in 1960 (count as 34). Since 1998, the count has been accelerated (count as since 72).
    • 50km(light blue)⋯The count is the 5th as same as 30km. After the longest silent term between 1920-1933, 50km curve was following behind 40km curve. 50km count was also accelerated by the M7.9 in 1944. Then, it has been increasing step by step. The 2nd longest silent term was between 1977-1985 (count as 29-30). The largest one of 50km is M6.5 count as 13.
    • others⋯M6.7 of 420km in 1925 is the greatest one of all depths. As the major magnitude in deep-focus earthquakes , there are also M6.2 of 350km in 1926,  and M6.0 of 370km in 1970.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 愛知県・三河湾・伊勢湾

Counts of occurrence per depth in 愛知県・三河湾・伊勢湾 (Aichi Pref., Mikawa Gulf & Ise Gulf )  is shown as below graph,

During the longest silent term of 1km since 2006, 1km curve was overtaken by 10km curve. The count of 1km-20km had each rapid increase in 1945 caused by M6.4 of 10km in 1945. 40km curve began to leave from 30km curve around 1974 because of the far long silent terms of 30km. Furthermore, there was the acceleration of 40km by M6.1 of itself. 50km is following behind 40km curve, and may catch up with 30km curve soon.

    • 1km (red)…The count is the 2nd. the count was increasing steadily until 1944 and keeping the 1st. Between 1944-1945, there was a rapid increase of 1km affected by M6.8 of 10km. The 1km rapid count increase was between 163-182 in 1944/between 185-304 in 1945. The longest silent term is extending since 2006. The 2nd/3rd longest silent terms are between 1985-1994(count as 516-518)/between 1996-2004(count as 520-521). The largest one of 1km is M5.9 in 1946(count as 370).
    • 10km(yellow)⋯The count is the 1st. 10km curve was following behind 1km curve. As the increase of 1km had stopped since 2006, 10km curve overtook 1km curve in 2023. There was a rapid increase(count as 33-129) of 10km caused by M6.4 of 10km in 1945 similar to the 1km curve. The M6.4 is the greatest one of all depths.
    • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 4th. 20km curve was following behind 1km curve similar to 10km curve. Less rapid increase than 10km made 20km leave from 10km curve by the M6.4 of 10km. Furthermore, 20km curve was overtaknen by 40km curve in 2006(count as 176). The largest one of 20km is M6.0 in 1997.
    • 40km(green)⋯The count is the 3rd. 40km curve was following behind 20km curve, and made leave from 20km curve once by the rapid count increase of 20km in 1945. But, 40km curve was accelerated by the 3rd longest silent term between 1976-1981 (count as 86-87), and also the M6.1 of 40km in 1997(count as 120). 40km curve overtook 20km in 2006. The largest one of 40km is M6.1 in 1971.
    • 30km(yellow green)⋯The count is the 5th. 30km/40km curves were chasing and being chased to each other until around 1970.  There were the 2nd/1st longest silent terms between 1973-1980(count as 67-68)/1986-1998(count as 74-75). The M6.1 of 40km was occurred in 1997 around the end period of the 1st longest term of 30km. The count of 30km was accelerated by the M6.1 of 40km. The largest one of 30km is M5.5 in 1939.
    • 50km(light blue)⋯The count is the 6th. After the 2nd/1st longest silent terms between 1919-1925/1925-1932 continuously, 50km curve is increasing almost steadily. There was the 3rd longest silent term between 1954-1960. After the 3rd one, 50km was accelerated slightly, and became closer to 30km curve. The largest one of M5.4 in 1989.
    • others⋯omitted. There was M6.0 of 370km in 1970.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 静岡県中部・西部地方

Counts of occurrence per depth in 静岡県中部・西部地方 (Central & Western region, Shizuoka Pref.)  is shown as below graph,

Because of the long silent terms since 1971, 1km curve was overtaken by 10km-30km curves. 40km/50km curves are following behind them. Similar counts are observed between the start count 131 of 1km of the longest silent term in 1953 and the count 130 of twin junction between 10km/20km in 2007.  The other similar counts of the largest ones of 40km/50km are 53 of M6.1 in 1965/ 51 of M5.9.

    • 1km (red)…The count is the 4th. Until being overtaken by 20km curve in 2009, the count was increasing steadily and keeping the 1st. Between 1944-1945, there was a rapid increase of 1km affected by M6.8 of 10km in Aichi Pref. (outside of this area). The 1km count increased from 74 to 97 before and after the M6.8. Then, the longest silent term was updated as the term between 1953-1956 (count as 131-132). Then, the silent terms became shorter temporarily, and then became longer again. The record breaking of the silent term length often occurred since 1971. During them, 20km curve overtook 1km curve, and 30km/40km curves followed them in later years. The longest silent term of 1km is between 2007-2024 (count as 186-187). The largest one is M5.8 in 1931. The largest one of 1km is M5.8 in 1931.
    • 10km(yellow)⋯The count is the 2nd.  Before M6.4 of 10km in 1935, there were the 3rd/2nd longest silent terms. So, 10km curve was following behind 1km curve with delay. On the other hand, because of too many long silent terms of 1km there were. After the M6.4 of 10km, the count of 10km increased steadily. But, 20km count was accelerated since the twin junction of 10km/20km with the count of 130 in 2007. 10km curve has been delayed from 20km though overtaking 1km curve. The largest one of 10km is the M6.4 in 1935.
    • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 1st. Until around 1975, 20km/30km curves were chasing each other back and forth, and they were following behind 10km curve. After  that, 10km curve joined their chase. As described above, 20km count was accelerated since the twin junction of 10km/20km in 2007. The largest one of 20km is the M6.5 in 2005 as count 168.
    • 30km(yellow green)⋯The count is the 3rd. After the chase with 20km curve, 30km curve was also overtaken by 10km in 2011 (as count 156).  The largest one of 30km is the M6.1 in 1965 as the count 53
    • 40km(green)⋯The count is the 5th. 40km curve is following behind 30km curve. The largest one of 40km is M5.9 in 1997 as the count 51. There was the rapid increase as the aftershocks as the count 51-58.
    • 50km(light blue)⋯The count is the 6th. 50km curve is following behind 40km curve. The count of 50km was accelerated by the M5.9 of 40km in 1997. The largest one of 50km is M5.6 in 1935.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 静岡県伊豆・東部地方

Counts of occurrence per depth 静岡県伊豆・東部地方(Izu&Eastern region, Shizuoka Pref.)   is shown as below graph,

This area is next to the epicenter of M7.9 Great Kanto Earthquake in 相模湾 (Sagami Bay ) and the origin of this area was an isolated volcanic island very long ago. There is a triple junction of 3 plates including Philippine Sea Plate (belonging with Izu area) ,  a volcanic zone around the east area, and also a submarine volcano like as Teishi Sea Hill in 相模湾. Such a complicated origin makes this area one of Japanese typical earthquake hotspots caused by volcanoes. Many shallow earthquakes (1-20km) are observed as earthquake swarms in this area. Especially, there was a series of the earthquake swarms between 1978-1998. In my opinion, this swarm activity was induced by M7.9 Great Kanto Earthquake in 1923. Though the direct trigger of the swarms was M6.9 of 10km in 1974 in 相模湾, the M6.9 was induced by the M7.9. I think the below graph shows the mechanism of the stress transfer of earthquakes from deeper area to shallower area very well.

    • 1km (red)…The count is the 1st. There was a rapid increase of 1km between the count 35-69 of 1km induced by M7.9 Great Kanto Earthquake of 20km in 1923. M6.8 occurred during the rapid increase of 1km 25 days later. Furthermore, M7.3 of 1km occurred as the count of 73 the next year. After that, there was the longest silent term of 1km between 1926-1929 (count as 114-115). Then, the silent terms became very shorter again. The next rapid increase of 1km was between the count 147-484 in 1930. During it, another M7.3 of 1km occurred as the count of 323 in 1930. Both M7.3 in 1924/in 1930 are the greatest one of all depths. After that, the silent terms gradually became longer. These long silent terms of 1km were broken by M6.9 of 10km in 1974. The M6.9 induced the rapid aftershocks of 1km in 1974 also. The count of 1km was between 794-930. After that, there were several rapid increases between 1978-1988. Most of them are regarded as the series of the earthquake swarms around East offshore Izu Peninsula. The cause is guessed as some kind of volcanic activity. In fact, there was a submarine volcanic eruption of Teishi Sea Hill of East offshore Izu Peninsula in 1989. I guess the M6.9 of 10km of 相模湾 (Sagami Bay ) in 1974 pulled the trigger of the volcanic activities with a series of the earthquake swarms to fill the gap of counts between 1km/10km, and to make 10km count increase more. There were 2 major earthquake swarms both in 1989/1997. The 1km count of the former was between 1192-1607 in 1989, and the latter was between 1903-2247. The M7.3 is the greatest one of all depths.
    • 10km(yellow)⋯ The count is the 2nd.  10km curve is following behind 1km curve. There was a lesser count increase of 10km than of 1km by the M7.9 in 1923, and also a lesser count increase of 10km than of 1km before and  after M7.3 of 1km in 1930. After the aftershocks of the M7.3 in 1930, the silent terms became longer and longer. There were the 2nd/1st longest silent terms between 1952-1956(count as 163-164)/1967-1974(count as 191-192). M6.9 of 10km in 1974 occurred as the end count 192 of the 1st longest silent term. The M6.9 is also the largest one of 10km. After that, the count of 10km was increased by the series of earthquake swarms similar to ones of 1km. There were some major rapid increases of 10km between 1978-1998. There were between 10km count 277-388 in 1980/561-708 in 1988/995-1097 in 1997/1108-1294 in 1998.
    • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 3rd. There was a rapid increase of 20km in 1930. But, the silent terms became far longer than 1km/10km. There was the 2nd/3rd longest silent term of 20km between 1959-1963/1968-1972 before the M6.9 of 10km in 1974. Then, there were 3 major rapid increases of 20km between 1974-1990. The 1st one was caused by the M6.9 of 10km similar to ones of 1km/10km. The count of 20km in 1974 was between 75-95. The 20km start count 75 in 1974 is near the 1km count of 73 of the M7.3 in 1924. The 2nd one was in 1983 (count as 121-147).  The end count 147 of 20km in 1983 is the same as the start count of the rapid increase of 1km in 1930. The 3rd increase count was between 164-202 in 1987. This end count 202 in 1987 is a little bit near the count 192 of the M6.9 of 10km in 1974.  The M7.9 Great Kanto Earthquake is the greatest one of all depths.
    • 30km(yellow green)⋯The count is 4th. 30km curve is following 20km curve with far longer silent terms.  The largest one of 30km is M5.9 in 1923.
    • 40km(green)⋯The count is 5th. The latest one was in 1970. The largest one of 40km is M5.4 in 1931.
    • others⋯omitted.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 岐阜県美濃地方

Counts of occurrence per depth in 岐阜県美濃地方 (Hida region, Gifu Pref.) is shown as below graph,

The 10km/ 1km curves saw accelerated growth following major earthquakes, with the 10km curve overtaking the 1km curve after the M6.8 in 1984. While 20km/40km curves generally followed both 10km/ 1km curves, they experienced a period of being closely intertwined between 1981 and 1989 following an M6.6 event.

    • 10km (yellow)…The count is the 1st. There were 3 major rapid increases of 10km. The 1st rapid increase was between count 39-43 of 10km by M5.5 of 1km in 1948. The 2nd one was between count 131-149 of 10km by M6.6 of 1km in 1969. The 3rd one was between 188-206 of 10km a by M6.8 of 1km in 1984. After the 3rd one,  10km curve overtook 1km curve. Before and after the overtaking,  the increase of 10km count accelerated more. The largest one of 10km is M6.3 of 10km in 1934.
    • 1km (red)…The count is the 2nd. There were 3  major rapid increases of 1km count since 1945. The 1st rapid increase was between count 146-151 of 1km by M5.5 of 1km in 1945 by M6.8 of 10km in 愛知県(Aichi Pref.). The 2nd one was between count 249-270 of 1km in 1961 by M7.0 of 10km in 石川県加賀地方(Ishikawa Pref.). The 3rd one was count between 332-350 of 1km by M6.6 of 1km in 1969. After that, there was the longest silent term between 1986-2004 (count 391-392). 2 years later, M6.8 of 1km occurred in 1984 as the greatest one of all depths. Durinng the longest term of 1km, 1km curve was overtaken by 10km curve. Then, the count increase of 1km became slower.
    • 40km(green)⋯The count is the 3rd. 40km curve is following behind 10km curve. The count of 40km increased step by step gradually. The ranking of the longest silent terms are as follows (chronological order). The 2nd one was between 1920-1925. The 3rd one was between 1946-1950. The 1st one was between 1973-1981(as count 51-52). Then, the slope of 40km curve became steeper. The largest one of 40km is M5.6 in 1925.
    • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 4th. 20km curve was following behind 40km curve except in 1931/1981-1989. 20km curve overtook 40km curve only once in 1931. Then, 20km curve was delayed from 40km curve again for a long time. After the rapid increase of 20km by M6.6 of 1km in 1969, both 20km/40km curves were closely intertwined temporarily between 1981-1989. In the rapid increase of 20km, the count was between 31-41. The end count 41 of 20km was near to the end count 43 of the 1st major rapid increase of 10km. After the end of 20km,  20km curve became close to 40km curve between 1981-1989. The largest one of 20km is M5.1 in 1966.
    • 50km(light blue)⋯The count is the 5th.  50km curve was following behind both 40km/20km curves. The largest one of 50km is M5.3 in 1975.
    • 30km(yellow green)⋯The count is the 6th. Both 30km/20km curves were closely intertwined until around 1960. Then, there was the longest silent term between 1964-2000. Since 2000, there have been no more occurrences. It means the latest silent term is extending for 25 years. The largest one of 30km is M5.5 in 1939.
    • 60km(blue)⋯The count is 7th. 60km curve is following behind 50km curve. The largest one of 60km is M5.3 in 1975.
    • others⋯ As remarkable ones of others, there were M6.6 of 250km in 1931/M6.0 of 260km in 1954.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 岐阜県飛騨地方

Counts of occurrence per depth in 岐阜県飛騨地方 (Hida region, Gifu Pref.) is shown as below graph,

The count of 10km is the 1st, and it is increasing steadily still now. As the greatest one of all depths, M6.8 of 1km occurred in 1984. These graphs graph behaviors are similar to the ones in  長野県南部  (Southern Nagano Pref.) because of the overlapping area. The most difference is less counts of 30km-50km than ones in  長野県南部  (Southern Nagano Pref.)

    • 10km (yellow)…The count is the 1st. There were 3 major rapid increases of 10km count after the longest silent term between 1919-1925. The 1st rapid increase was by M6.6 of 1km in 1969. The 2nd one was by M6.8 of 1km in 1984. The 3rd one was a shallow earthquake swarm in 1998. After the 3rd one, 10km curve overtook 1km curve. And the count of 1km is increasing with the steep slope. The largest one of 10km is M6.2 of 10km induced by the M6.8 of 1km in 1984.
    • 1km (red)…The count is the 2nd. As similar to 10km curve, there were 2 major rapid increases of 1km count in 1969/1998. But, the silent terms of 1km became longer and longer after 1969. The longest one of 1km was between 1986-1993.  After the longest one of 1km, 1km curve was overtaken by 10km curve. Even though the M6.8 of 1km in 1984 was the greatest one of all depths, there was almost no aftershock of 1km againt the many ones of 10km.
    • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 3rd. There was a rapid increase between count 14-28 of 20km in 1969 induced by the M6.6 of 1km on the same day. After the M6.6 of 1km, the silent terms of 20km became longer rapidly.  The longest silent term of 20km is between 1988-2011.  The end count 28 of the rapid increase of 10km is near to the end count 26 of the 3rd longest silent term of 1km between 1946-1951 (count 25-26). The largest one of 20km is M4.9 in 1969.
    •  others⋯ As remarkable ones of others, there were M6.6 of 250km in 1931/M6.0 of 260km in 1954.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 長野県南部

Counts of occurrence per depth in 長野県南部  (Southern Nagano Pref.) is shown as below graph,

The count of 10km is the 1st, and it is increasing steadily still now. As the greatest one of all depths, M6.8 of 1km occurred in 1984. Maybe because of 1km occurrence, the aftershocks occurred almost only 10km without 1km ones.

    • 10km (yellow)…The count is the 1st. There was the longest silent term of 10km between 1939-1947. Then, 10km curve was increasing almost gradually between 1952 - 1984 (count 15-51). After the 4th longest silent term of 10km between 1979-1984, there was a rapid increase by M6.8 of 1km in 1984. After the M6.8 of 1km, the count of 10km was accelerated, and overtook the one of 1km in 1995. After the overtaking, the count was accelerated more, and M5.6 of 10km as the 2nd scale occurred in 2017. Recently, the silent terms of 10km have been decreasing gradually. M6.2 of 10km in 1984 is the largest one.
    • 1km (red)…The count is the 2nd. The 5th longest silent term of 1km between 1951-1955 (count  56-57) was the 1st one at that time, and the silent terms became shorter after it. 1km curve changed the slope steeper between 1955-1969 (count 57-114). Then, the silent terms became longer. The 4th longest silent term of 1km occurred between 1990-1994. M6.8 of 1km occurred at the end of the 4th term. Even though the M6.8 of 1km in 1984 is the greatest one of all depths, there was almost no aftershocks of the M6.8 as 1km depth. Most of the aftershocks of the M6.8 in 1984 was induced as the rapid count increase of 10km between 53-84. The start count 53 of 10km was near to the start count of 1km's 5th longest silent term in 1951. 2 years later of the M6.8, there was the longest silent term between 1986-2005. More than 95% of 1km before it were with no magnitude data as "unknown details" or "unknown magnitude". They seem to be one of the sign of the M6.8 of 1km in 1984. After the M6.8 in 1984, there has been no one with no magnitude data yet. And the silent terms became longer gradually after the longest one. The 2nd longest silent term of 1km occurred between 2013-2018. The 2nd one seemed to be interrupted by M5.6 of 1km in 2017.
    • 20km (orange)…The count is the 3rd. 20km curve has been following behind 10km curve. But, 20km curve couldn't catch up even with 1km curve. The latest one was count 57, and the value has reached the 5th longest silent term of 1km between 1951-1955 (count  56-57) . So, 20km curve might go into a long silent term. The largest one of 20km is M4.8 in 1927.
    • 50km (light blue)…The count is the 4th. 50km curve has been following behind 20km curve. The silent terms accelerated since 1998 as same as 10km after the overtaking 1km curve. The silent terms of 50km became longer once when becoming close to 40km curve. But, after overtaking 40km curve, they became shorter. The increase stopped in 2024. The largest one of 50km is M5.1 in 1981.
    • 40km (green)…The count is the 4th. The 2nd longest silent term was between 1939-1959. 40km curve was caught up with by 20km curve around 1960s. Then, the silent terms became longer. Furthermore, there were the 3rd/1st silent term between 1972 - 1988/1988-2015. The latest one was in 2021. The largest one of 40km is M5.1 in 1919.
    • 30km (green)…The count is the 5th. 30km increased steadily, and overtook 40km once in 1958. But, after it, the silent terms became longer rapidly. The latest one was in 2017. The largest one of 30km is M5.3 in 1926.
    • 60km (blue)…The count is the 6th. The longest silent term is between 1919-1993. Then, there have been only 5 occurrences since 1993. The largest one of 60km is M5.1 in 1981.
    • others⋯ As remarkable ones of others, there were M6.6 of 250km/M6.0 of 260km.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 長野県中部

Counts of occurrence per depth in 長野県中部(Central Nagano Pref.)is shown as below graph,

"Matsushiro Earthquake Swarm" in 1965 accelerated the counts of 1km-20km rapidly. Especially, the count of 1km increased dramatically. After the swarm in 長野県北部(Northen Nagano Pref. ), there was  both M6.8  in 1984 at the southwest corner of this area and the longest silent term between 1993-1997. 10km curve is getting close to 1km curve since M5.6 of 1km in 1998.

    • 1km (red)…The count is the 1st. There was the rapid increase in 1920. But, the cause is unknown. The end count of 1km was 26. It is near to the start count 28 of 10km of the rapid increase in 1965. After the rapid increase of 1km in 1920, there was the longest silent term at that time between 1920-1922. The next occurrence of 1km was count 28, and it might be one of the aftershock of M7.9 Great Kanto Earthquake. It was occurred only 16 minutes later of the M7.9. Then, the silent terms of 1km was accelerated rapidly until 1932. Since 1935, the count of 1km increased steadily until 1963. The main rapid increase was occurred in 長野県北部(Northen Nagano Pref. )as  as "Matsushiro Earthquake Swarm" in 1965. Part of them are included in this area, and M6.8 occurred in 1984 as the greatest one of all depths.  The epicenter is located in the corner of this area, and the aftershock was nothing special in this area. The silent terms became longer and longer after it, and there were  the 2nd/1st longest silent terms between 1990-1993/ 1993-1997. Nine months later, M5.6 occurred in 1998. By the M5.6, the silent terms of 1km were accelerated again. Furthermore, it was also accelerated by M5.6 in 2020.
    • 10km (yellow)…The count is the 2nd. 10km curve was following behind 1km curve. Though there was the rapid increase by "Matsushiro Earthquake Swarm" in 1965, the count of 1km increased more. So, 10km curve couldn't have overtaken 1km curve yet. But, the silent terms were accelerated by the M5.6 of 1km in 1998. As a result, the gap between 1km/10km curves is gradually getting closer. The largest one of 10km is M5.6 in 2017.
    •  20km(orange)⋯The count is the 3rd.  20km curve was following behind 10km curve. But, after it,  the silent terms became longer suddenly since The count of 20km was also accelerated by  "Matsushiro Earthquake Swarm" in 1965. But, there was the longest silent term between 1976-2005, and the silent terms of 20km became longer.  The latest occurrence was in 2021. The largest one of 20km is M5.2 in 1967.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 長野県北部

Counts of occurrence per depth in 長野県北部(Northern Nagano Pref.)is shown as below graph,

Most occurrences are occupied with the ones of "unknown details (inknown)" of   "Matsushiro Earthquake Swarm" since 1965. It was occurred around 1km-20km in the narrow area. Even the huge occurrence, only M5.9 is the largest one of 1km before and after  it. The long silent terms of 20km/30km seems to be the sign of it. The start counts of the rapid increases were often near to the count of shallower depth's ones.

    • 1km (red)…The count is the 1st. There was the rapid increase as "Matsushiro Earthquake Swarm" since 1965. Most of them were "unknown" ones with no magnitude data occurred narrow area around "Matsushiro". The epicenters of "unknown" was almost constant until 1950. The constant "unknowns" moved to south  a little, and went into the swarm.  So, the rapid increase of 1km in 1941 seems to be the sign of "Matsushiro Earthquake Swarm" since 1965. The largest one of 1km is M5.9 in 1943. Though M5.9 were also occurred in 1986/in 2011, no more magnitude has been recorded.
    • 10km(yellow)⋯ The count is the 2nd. 10km curve was following behind 1km curve. There was the longest silent term between 1926 - 1935. Right after it, 10km curve increased with steep slope. Then, there was the silmllar increase by M6.1 of 10km in 1941. Then, the silent terms became longer gruadually just before the rapid increase  by "Matsushiro Earthquake Swarm" since 1965. After the rapid increase in 1965, the slope became gentle. There was also the rapid increase of 10km by M9.0 Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011 though the curve change looks like small because of logarithmic axis. M6.7 was induced by the M9.0 in 2011. The M6.7 is the greatest one of all deprhs in this area. Another M6.7 was also occurred in 2014. Before the later M6.7, there was a long silent term of 20km between 2011-2014. It seems to be the sigh of it.
    • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 3rd. There was the longest silent term of 20km at that time between 1919-1935 as the 3rd one. Then, the silent terms became shorter. Furthermore they were accelerated by the M6.1 of 10km in 1941, and M5.7 of 20 km was occurred in 1947 at the count 12. The count is very near to the count of 10km as the start point of the acceleration when M6.1 was occurred at count 11 n 1941. Right after the M6.7 of 20km, the longest silent term was updated as between 1947-1954 as the 2nd one. The 2nd longest silent term may be the sign of  "Matsushiro Earthquake Swarm" started 1.5 month later in 1965. After the rapid increase of 20km since 1965, the 1st longest silent term of 20km was occurred between 1976-1995 at the count between 55-56. At the count 56 of 1km, the rapid increase of 1km was started in 1935. The latest occurrence of 20km is at count 86 in 2018. At count 87 of 1km, the rapid increase of 1km started in 1941. The largest one of 20km is the M5.7 in 1947.
    • 30km(yellow green)⋯The count is the 4th. There was the longest silent term at that time between 1941-1966 as the snd one at the count between 3-4. At the count of 1km between 2-3, the 3rd longest silent term of 20km was occurred between 1919-1935. The 2nd longest silent term of 20km between 1947-1965 was covered with the 2nd longest one of 30km between 1941-1966. The latest occurrence was in 1968. Sine 1968, the 1st longest silent term of 30km has been extended. The largest one of 30km is M4.5 in 1936.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 山梨県・富士五湖

Counts of occurrence per depth  in 山梨県・富士五湖(Yamanashi Pref. & Fuji Five Lakes area)is shown as below graph,

M7.9 Great Kanto Earthquake induced the rapid increase of 1-30km in1923. Especially, 1km curve increased rapidly. But, 20km/10km curves increased steadily after the increases in 1923. The start/end points of the rapid increase seems to effect the other start/end points of other depths.

    • 20km (orange)…The count is the 1st. M7.9 of 20km was occurred in Western Kanagawa in 1923. The M7.9 was named as "Great Kanto Earthquake", ant it is the greatest one of all depths. It was occurred on the triple junction of 10km/20km/30km curves. It means it was occurred at the same count of them as count 5. The M7.9 was induced the rapid increases of 1km-30km. After them, 20km curve increased steadily.  count has been increasing steadily. During the longest silent term, 20km curve overtook 1km curve in 1996. After the overtaking, 20km curve accelerated in 1996. It was also accelerated by M9.0 Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.
    • 10km (yellow)…The count is the 2nd. There were 3 major rapid increases of 10km curve. The first one was occurred by the M7.9 of 20km in 1923, and 20km curve increased steadily until 1928. Since 1928, there was the 2nd longest term of 10km at that time between 1928-1930. Just after it, the next major rapid increase of 10km was occurred in 1930. It was induced by M7.3 of 1km in Northern Izu in 1930. By this increase, 10km curve overtook between 1930-1950 temporary. After overtaken by 20km again, the silent terms of 10km became longer. The longest one of 10km is 1979-1983. Then, the silent terms become shorter again gradually until 2011. The latest major rapid increase of 10km was induced by M9.0 Great East Japan Earthquake. Though the gap between 20km and 10km curves became smaller, 10km curve is still following behind 20km curve. The largest one of 10km is M6.4 in 2011.
    • 1km(red)⋯The count is the 3rd. There were the rapid increase of 1km curve caused by the M7.9 of 20km in 1923. M6.8 was occurred as the first aftershocks in 1923, and is the largest one of 1km (The epicenter is outside of this area). Then, 1km curve has been increased step by step until 2020. The 1st longest silent term is updated as between 1983-1994. During it, 1km curve was overtaken by 20km.  Furthermore, it was also overtaken by 10km curve in 2011.
    • 30km(yellow green)⋯The count is the 4th. There was the rapid increase by the M7.9 of 20km. Then, there was  a continueing earthquakes of 30km in 1939. The cause is unknown. The end's count of 30km was 35. This count is near the count of 1km at M7.3 in 1924. The 1km count was accelerated by the M7.3. 10km's overtaking point was count 33, ant it was also near the count of 30km's end count. The longest silent term of 20km was between 1943 - 1947, and the count was between 67-68. On the other hand, there was the long silent term of 30km, and the count was between 66-67. They were very near. The acceleration start of 30km count curve between 84-90 in 1988 corresponds with the acceleration end of 1km count curve between 66-81 in 1930. The latest occurence of 30km is in 2025 as 132 count. It's near the start count of 20km in 1976 as 135. 30km curve might have the rapid increase when the count goes over 135. The largest one of 30km is M5.9 in 1931.
    • 40km(green)⋯The count is the 5th. There were 2 major rapid increases both in 1923 and in 1931. But, after these rapid increases, the silent terms became longer and longer. The longest silent term of 40km is between 1949-2020. The count of the end point of 30km is 29. The count is near to the cross point of 10km/30km curves overtaking in 1931 as the 10km's count of 33. There might be the rapid increase of 40km in the not too distant future. The largest one of 40km is M6.3 in 1929.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 福井県嶺南地方

Counts of occurrence per depth in 福井県嶺南地方(Reinan region, Fukui Pref.)is shown as below graph,

Some of the 1km's count of the accelerations may be linked with 10km/20km's one as shown the blue line in the below graph. 10km curve overtook 1km curve with the steady increases during the longest silent term of 1km.  The largest ones were occurred in deep area between 360-370km as M5.9-M6.1.

    • 10km (yellow)…The count is the 1st. The count has been increasing steadily. 10km curve overtook 1km curve in 2011. There were some combinations of long silent term and accelerated terms. These counts of both 10km and 1km are seemed to be linked as showed as the blue horizontal lines in the graph above. The acceleration of 10km in 2011 was occurred around the end of the longest silent term of 1km in 2011. The largest one of 10km is M5.2 in 1963. After the M6.3, the silent terms of 1km became longer suddenly.
    • 1km(red)⋯The count is the 2nd. There was the rapid increase by M7.3 of 20km of Northern Kyoto outside of this area in 1927. The start count of 1km was linked with 20km's acceleration of the count in 1960. The end count of 1km was linked with 10km's acceleration of the count in 1983. The occurrence of 1km in 2011 is the latest one as the end of the longest silent term of 1km between 1991-2011. The largest one of 1km is M5.3 in 1937.
    • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 3rd. There was the longest silent term of 20km between 1973-2002. After it, there was the acceleration of 20km between 2007-2011. By this acceleration, the count became closer with the end count of the rapid increase of 1km in 1927.  There might be the acceleration of 20km after the 20km count becoming more than the start count of 10km's acceleration in 1960. The largest one of 20km is M4.7 in 1944.
    • 30km(yellow green)⋯The count is the 3rd. But, it's only 4 times. The largest one of 30km is M4.9 in 1931.
    • 40km(green)⋯The count is only 2 times. The largest one of 40km is M2.9 in 2025.
    • others⋯350km/360km/370km's occurrence was each 2 or 3 times. But, each the largest one is  M5.4/M5.9/M6.1. All of them are larger than one's of othes (1km-40km). The largest one of all depths is M6.1 of 370km.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 福井県嶺北地方

Counts of occurrence per depth in 福井県嶺北地方(Reihoku region, Fukui Pref.)is shown as below graph,

    • 1km (red)…The count is the 1st. There were 2 major rapid increases both in 1927 and in 1948. The first one was caused by M7.3 of 20km of Northen Kyoto  (outside of this area).   After the rapid increase of 1km in 1927, the silent terms became longer and longer.  Then, there was the anoher major rapid increase of 1km in 1948 by M7.1  of 1km in 1948.  Then, the silent terms became longer and longer as same as before. After the longest silent term (at that time) of 1km between 1965-1968, the occurrences of 1km was acceleratated temporary by M7.0 of 10km in 1961. The next acceleration was occurred by M5.9 of 10km in 1972 after the longest silent term (at that time) of 1km between 1969-1972. Since these accelerations of 1km, the silent terms became longer and longer. The 1st longest term of 1km is between 1992- 2003. After it, the  silent terms became shorter gradually. The M7.1 of 1km greatest one of all depths.
    • 10km(yellow)⋯The count is the 2nd. There was the rapid increase by the M7.1 of 1km in 1948 after the 2nd longest silent term between 1943-1948 (The first one is between 1919-1934). The rapid increased count of 10km became 103 at the next rapid increase by M7.0 in 1961. The count of 10km is similar with the conut  97 of 1km at M7.1.  There was the temporary increase of 10km by the M7.0 of 10km in 1961, and there was the 3rd longest silent term (at that time) of 10km between 1966-1970. Then, M5.9 of 10km was occurred as the 2nd scale magnitude of 10km. The silent terms of 10km became shorter and shorter. In result, the count of 10km is approaching to 1km's one. The largest one of 10km is the M7.0 in 1961.
    • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 3rd. There is the major rapid increase of 20km by the M7.1 of 1km in 1948 after the 2nd longest silent term between 1943-1948 at that time (The first one was between 1919-1931). After the 2nd longest silent between 1963-1972 at that time, there was the temporary acceleration of the occurrences of 20km since 1972 at the count 24. The start count of 20km is similar with the one of the rapid increase of 1km in 1927 as count 21. Then, there was the longest silent term of 20km between 1973-2011. The largest one of 20km is M4.8 in 1957.
    • 30km(yellow green)⋯The count is the 4th. But, the count is only 4 times. The latest occurrence was in 1961, and the longest silent term is extending now. The largest one of 30km is M4.5 in 1961.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 石川県加賀地方

Counts of occurrence per depth in 石川県加賀地方(Kaga region, Ishikawa Pref.)is shown as below graph,

10km curve was following behind 1km curve.  At M7.0 of 10km in 1948, the count of 10km reached count of 15 near the 1km's count 14 just before the 2nd longest silent term of 1km between 1952-1961. Then, 10km curve had the 1st longest silent term between 1961-1978. There was another rapid increase with gentle slope and the 3rd longest silent term between 1986-1995. The count of 10km became 24 in 1995. This count of 10km is near the count of 1km as 20 at M7.1 in 1948. Furthermore, The 10km's count of becoming the silent term over 3 months after the rapid increase in 2002 was 54. And 1km's count of becoming the silent term over 3 months after the rapid increase with gentle slope since 1961 was 51. These counts are alsp near.

    • 10km (yellow)…The count is the 1st. 10km curve was following behind 1km curve before M9.0 Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011.  There was the steep slope of 10km since Apr/2013. It may be induced by M6.3 of 20km in Awaji Island just before it. 10km curve became fitting along with 1km curve before the M9.0. Then, there was the rapid increase of 10km by the M9.0 in 2011, and 10km curve overtook the 1km curve. The largest one of 10km is M7.0 in 1961.
    • 1km (red)…The count is the 2nd. Before the M9.0, the rank was the 1st. There was the rapid increase by M7.1 of 1km named as "Fukui Earthquake" in 1948. There was the another increase with the speep slope by M7.0 of 10km in 1961 after the 2nd longest silent term between 1952-1961. By these increases, the count of 1km became 51 times just before the 1st longest silent term of 1km. The count of 1km is the almost same as the count of 10km becoming the silent term over 3 months after the rapid increase in 2002. The silent terms of 1km is becoming shorter gradually with gentle slope since the 1st one. During these long silent terms, 1km curve was overtaken by 10km curve with the rapid increase just after the M9.0 in 2011.  The M7.1 Fukui Earthquake in 1948 is the greatest one of all depths.
    • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 3rd. 20km curve was following behind 10km curve. There was the longest silent term between 1996-2003. The latest occurrence was in 2021. The largest one of 20km is M4.3 in 1930.
    • 30km(yellow green)⋯The count is the 4th. But, it is only one occurrence.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 石川県能登地方

Counts of occurrence per depth in 石川県能登地方(Noto region, Ishikawa Pref.)is shown as below graph,

Before M6.9 of 10km in 2007, the count of 1km curve kept the 1st even though there was the longest silent term between 1955-1990.  There were the major rapid increases in 2007/in 2024 caused by M6.9 of 10km/M7.6 of 20km. These increases seems to try catching up with the advanced count level in past. 10km curve increased until the delayed 1km curve with the longest silent terms or so on until just before the M6.9 in 2007. 1km curve followed behind 10km curve with the 3rd longest silent term, and increased rapidly until the count level becoming almost same count level of 10km in 2007. 20km curve also followed behind 1km curve until the count level becoming almost same count level of 1km in 2007. The largest one of 1km is only M4.8 aginst M6.9 of 10km/M7.6 of 20km. These larger magnitudes of 10km/20km should be transmitted to 1km someday in futute, and the count should become the 1st again.

    • 10km (yellow)…The count is the 1st. 10km curve was following behind 1km curve before M6.9 of 10km in 2007. There was the rapid increase of both 10km/1km M6.9 of 10km in 2007, and 10km overtook 1km far away.  10km curve's slope became gentler after it once. But, around 2020, it became steeper  again by M7.6 Noto Peninsula Earthquake of 20km in 2024.  As shown in the above graph,  M6.5 /M6.1 /M6.0 of 10km were occurred continuosly in 2024 as the aftershocks of the M7.6  later.  The M6.9 of 10km is the largest one of 10km.
    • 1km(red)⋯The count is the 2nd. Though the count of 1km curve was the 1st before the M7.6 of 10km, there were the longest silent terms of the 1st/2nd/5th/4th of 1km before the M7.6. The M7.6 was occurred just after the count of 10km overtook one's of 1km as count 26 of 10km. After the 3rd longest silent term of 1km between 2008-2023, there was the rapid increase of 10km/1km/20km caused by the M7.6 in 2024. The silent term of 1km became over 3 months after the M7.6 of 20km in 2024 as count.396. The one of 10km had become over 3 months at first after the M6.9 of 10 km as count 397. Both rapid increases end seems to be very similar.  The largest one of 1km is M4.8 in 2024. It may be too small againt both ones of 10km(M6.9)/20km(M7.6). Someday in future, there should be occurred M7 or so on, and the count should get back the 1st count of all depths.
    • 20km(orange)⋯The count is the 3rd. 20km curve was following behind 1km curve as same as 10km curve. As there was the longest silent term of 20km between 1938-1985,  the distances from 1km/10km wouldn't become closer so easy.  There was no rapid increase of 20km in 2007 different from 10km/1km curves. But, there was the rapid increase of 20km caused by the M7.6 of 10km in 2024. The count of 20km was 57 times when the silent terms taking over 3 months at first since the occurrence.  The count 57 is also the last occurrence of 20km. The count of 57 is almost same as the count 53  of 1km when the silent terms taking over 3 months since the occurrence of the M6.9 of 10km in 2007.  But, after the M6.9, 10km/1km counts increased more by far. So, the distances are still far from 20km curve. The largest one of 20km is M7.6 in 2024 named as "Noto Peninsula Earthquake". It is the greatest one of all depths.

Counts of occurrence per depth in 富山県

Counts of occurrence per depth in 富山県(Toyama Pref.)is shown as below graph,

Most earthquakes occurred near the border between 長野県(Nagano Pref.) and 岐阜県(Gifu Pref.) . Especially,  the continuing earthquakes in 1998 are accounts for 75% of all depths. The 3rd longest silent term of 30km between 1962-1993 seems to the sign of the longest one of 20km. Furthermore, the one of 20km between 1976 -1977 seems to be the sign of the the continuing earthquakes in 1998. The latest rapid increase of 20km was induced by M7.6 Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024. The effects for other depths are not so much.

    • 1km (red)…The count is the 1st. 1km was increasing steadily before 1998. There was the rapid increase of both 1km/10km curves by the continuing earthquake near the border between 長野県(Nagano Pref.) and 岐阜県(Gifu Pref.) in 1998. The earthquakes both in 長野県 and 岐阜県 are accounts for 75% of all depths in this 富山県 area. For about 10 years after it, 1km curve was overtaken by 10km curve temporary. There was the rapid increase induced by M9.0 Great East Japan in 2011, and 1km overtook 10km curve. After it, there were 2 additional rapid increases, and 1km curve has kept the top occurrence. The largest one of 1km is M5.6 on the way of the continuing earthquake in 1998.
    • 10km(yellow)…The count is the 2nd. 10 km curve was following behind 1km curve. There were 2 major rapid increases common with 1km both in 1998/2020. Especially, the one in 1998 was very rapid, and overtook 1km curve for about 10 years temporary as described above. The largest one of 10km is M5.1 in 1936.
    •  20km(orange)…The count is the 3rd. After 1935, 20km was following behind 10km curve. But, by the rapid increase of 10km in 1998, the distance of the curves between 10km and 20km became by far. Before the rapid increase of 10km, there was the longest silent term between 1976-1977. It may be the sign of the rapid increase of 1km/10km caused by the continuing earthquake in 1998. Then, there were the 2 time long silent terms of 20km. One was the 2nd longest between 2001-2017. The other was between 2017-2024. The later one was broken by the aftershocks of M7.6 Noto Peninsula Earthquake in 2024. The latest rapid increase of 20km was induced by the M7.6 in 2024. The largest one of 10km is M5.1 in 1970.
    • 30km(orange)…The count is the 4th, and the count is only 3 times. After the long silent term between 1919-1936. The next one was the 4th length between 1936-1962. The continuing one was the 3rd between 1962-1993. The 3rd one of 30km seems to induce the 1st longest one of 20km between 1976-1977 as the sign of the continuing earthquake in 1998. The last one of 20km is the 1st length extending since 1993. The largest one of 30km is M4.5 in 1936.
